We really haven’t done many major home projects in the last….oh…..year. We’re still in the massive war against the yard – and we have made progress – but there hasn’t been much more to report at the Chicken in Flight Headquarters. However, we have made a significant improvement to our house by installing a new gas fireplace. WHOOOHOO! We learned that our house can lose power during bad storms. That led our napping infant to look like this last winter:
So we took action to prevent that in the future. This is now one of my favorite things of the house and you can often find me curled up in front of the fire in the evenings.
We didn’t think there would be much of a hitch, since a gas line was already run to the area. But of course the installer followed the gas line to a random hole in the wall where it wasn’t connected to anything. Classic. Anyway, all is fixed and we can enjoy. Jack loves it too.
