An ARL Tour and More Zoo Time!

We’ve gone to the Tails with Tales story time a few times now. One of them included a tour of the barns. Ben was super pumped to meet the llamas.

Our zoo membership has more than paid for itself. It’s just the perfect size for an hour or two of toddler fun. And it’s been interesting to watch and see what Ben finds interesting each time. However, these attractions are a guaranteed hit:
The African drums and spinning globe = amazing entertainment.

My favorites are the giraffes and sea lions. Ben isn’t too interested in them, but he humors me.

Ben and I went after school was back in session and the zoo was pretty empty in the early morning. We took the opportunity to ride the train. It was Ben’s second time and he LOVED it. He cried when it was done, but the engineer let him sit on the engine. Pretty cool.

The big cats are another favorite of mine. Ben loves it because of the sound effect display in the lion area and the truck in the tiger exhibit. It’s a win-win.

The vultures told us of their latest fishing adventures….

The inside area is really hard to contain a toddler, but I was feeling crazy one day. Ben enjoys running the paths and checking out the fish.
